A hearty welcome home after service abroad Was accorded Corporal J. Stephenson, K.Im.Z.A.K.; Sapper P. Clayden, Trooper F. Goouley, and Driver N. Hood at a dance in their honour held in the Waikohu Theatre. Residents from all parts of the district attended and speeches of welcome were made by Messrs. S. S. Smithers and J. G. Appleton, apologies for absence being sent by Mr. Eru Ruru. A presentation of an envelope was made to each of the chief guests, who returned thanks individually. Dancing went with a swing to musi.c contributed by Miss L. Ruru, and Mr. 11. White acted as M.C. A savoury supper was served at prettily decorated tables.
