SIX MONTHS’ FIGHTING U.S.A. ARMIES* RECORD (9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 7. Reviewing the first six months of the Allied invasion of Europe, General Omar Bradley said that his 12th Army Group, consisting of the American First, Third and Ninth. Armies, had liberated 115,000 square miles of territory and taken 400,000 prisoners
since it landed in France on June 6, He added that in the attack beginning on November 8, American troops had taken 44,000 prisoners and occupied about 700 square miles of Germany, and were now fighting oh a 210-mile front.
