A recent tele.Tram from the Minister of Transport, the Hon. J. O’Brien, to the Hokitika R.S.A. was the subject of a notice of question in the House of Representatives by Mr. W. Sullivan (,opp.. Bay of Plenty) in association with Mr. A. S. Sutherland (.Opp., Hauraki). They asked the Prime Minister whether the Minister of Transport was expressing the Government's considered view when he alleged in a telegram that a political party had agitated for the sending of many telegrams pretesting against the Government’s sympathetic policy in dealing with military defaulters.
