SNOW ON UPLANDS
MID-CANTERBURY FALL (P.A.) ASHBURTON, Dec. 6. Snow fell in the uplands of MidCanterbury last night. There were three inches at Staveley, Anama- and Springbtirn and one at Methven. Heavy rain fell yesterday and to-day, Stavelev having had 540 points so far this month, the conditions being wintry.
