To-day's communique from Supfgmef Allied Headquarters says: “We have • cleared the enemy from the entire area west of the Maas River. ‘“Our forces on the west bank of the Roer River are meeting stubborn resistance in the outskirts of Julich. “We are east of the Inde River, qnd ' have Consolidated our positions in.Lucherberg and Luchem. We have made slight progress in the Brandenberg area, south-east of Hurtgen.
