The vast size and consequent widely differing climatic conditions of the United Stales were referred to by the noted American publicist, Mr. Sydney Grambie. in an address to pupils of the Gisborne High School yesterday. It was 3000 miles from the Atlantic to the Pacific, he said, and about 1500 miles from Canada to Mexico, "You may think f am 'bnifh ging," he went on, “but we did not make it!” He added amid smiles; “The fact of our 130,000,000 population has not always been our fault either."
