EXPRESS AIR SERVICE

AUSTRALIA —ENGLAND organisingTjnder WAY (9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 1. The managing director of Qanlas Empire Airways, Mr. Hudson Fysh, has gone to London for important discussions with. British Overseas Airways officials. The main subject will be the establishment of an express air service between Australia and England in the early post-war years. It is thought that it may be possible 1o open this service soon after the fall of Germany and before the end cf the Pacific War. Before his departure Mr. Fysh saia the service planned would be a daily one, the journey from Sydney to London taking 72 hours. The operation of a 72-hour service over the 12,000-mile route would involve the use of long-range sleeper transports with high cruising speeds. Landing points would "be limited to six or eight and passengers. would spend only a few hours on the ground during the trip.
