PACIFIC MINE CRAFT
NEW AMERICAN POST <ll a.m.) PEARL HARBOUR, Oct. 31. Admiral Nimitz announced the appointment of Rear-Admiral Alexander Sharp to the newly-established post of commander of mine craft in the Pacific Fleet. Rear-Admiral Sharp previously commanded the Atlantic Fleet’s mine service force and also directed various task forces.
