£20,000,000 NEEDED . TIME RUNNING SHORT (9 a.tn.) CANBERRA. Oct. 2° Subscriptions totalling £20,000.000 in two days arc needed to fill Australia’s Second Victory Loan. Declaring that failure to fill toe loan would be regarded bv the Alben nations as an indication of Australian "omnlacency and selfishness the Federal Treasurer, Mr. J. B Chiflcv said that only one in 30 of the population had so far contributed.
