Pedigree Bulls 1 Stud Sire “Questor of Woodlands” H.B. No. 10432. The "Woodlands” herd was founded with imported animals, or close up descendants of imported cattle. Bulls imported included “Ermitano” and “Eland of Bleaton,” both of

which were from the famous Beauty family of Keillor, and did much to build up the name of “Woodlands." Among the females brought out were “Proud Peggy" of the “Erica" strain. “Pride of Mulben 44th,” “Pride of Aberdeen 532nd" and “Bunty of Mulben.” In 1926. when the entire herd was sold, the late Mr. R. R. Burling selected and purchased 15 females from the best breeding families, and since then the “Erica” and “Pride of Aberdeen” strains have had a controlling influence. Cows sold at the Sale in 1926 have bred particularly well wherever they went. “Carthage of Gwavas” sire of the two 1 bulls sold at Dartnevirke last October for 650gns and 520gns respectively, is out of “Rose of Woodlands.” The top priced animal at the Ben Lomond Sale was sired by “Count of Woodlands,” who also sired many Show winners. This Sale gives breeders a wonderful opportunity of securing high class animals of undoubted breeding and quality.
