EVACUATION ADVISED
BANGKOK POPULACE HEAVIER RAIDS FEARED (10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 1. The Bangkok radio urged the population to evacuate the city immediately. “Thailand no longer has a capital. Many members of the Government have gone to places of safety. The enemy will not cease to raid Bangkok. On the contrary, raids are likely to become heavier and more frequent,” the announcement said,
