RUGBY, Jan. 17.

An American bombing raid on Formosa is announced in a communique from Lieut.-General Stilwell’s headquarters. Liberators of the Fourteenth United States Army Air Force on Tuesday night dropped 12 tons of bombs, starting large fires. They encountered intense ground fire. Next night the American planes raided Bangkok, dropping 15 tons of bombs at the aerodrome at Bangkok.
