Infectious Disease Two deaths from infectious disease were reported in the East Cape health district for the week ended at noon to-day. One resulted from cerebrospinal meningitis and the oilier from pulmonary tuberculosis. Other case; reported last week were three of pulmonary tuberculosis, one of tubercular meningitis, one of typhoid fever, and one of diphtheria.
School Burned The ivfatai camp school, situated about two mile? from Horokino, near To Kuiti, lias been burned to the ground and all the contents destroyed. The (10 children who were attending the school are now being taught in temporary buildings at Tiroa, six miles distant. Ellis and Burnand's railcar is used for transportation purposes. Health Display
The Department of Health's diet exhibits attracted large attendances during the three days and nights during which it was open to the public. It is estimated that 2000 adults and as many children visited the exhibit. The evening, and on one occasion more popular, and on ’one Occasion more than 500 people were in the hall at the one time. The display is to’be open to the public in Wniroa to-morrow.
