TO BECOME A HULK
OLD S.S. HINEMOA (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 16, It is officially stated that a report printed in several newspapers that the old steamship Hinemoa has been acquired by a salvage company from the Navy Department for breaking up is not correct. The vessel, which is now 6.7 years old, ended her sea-going career some years ago. The Hinemoa was acquired last, year by the Navy Department. The intention is to remove the engines, boilers, and other internal fittings and to convert the slfip into, a hulk.
