“GRAVE CONCERN”
CONDITION OF FLOUR WEST COAST BAKERS (P.A.) . WANGANUI, April 9. 1 ,Tfae West Coast (North Island) Master Bakers' Association carried the ifoliowing motions at a meeting yesterday:’ ' ■ 1 0 / .“That, the association views .with grave concern the very unsatisfactory condition of ; the .flour being delivered ■fronji the .emergency flour stocks,, notwithstanding many: assurances by the wheat and flour controller that such flour would be released at'regular intervals and before the quality, deteriorated; that the matter be taken up immediately'with the.authorities.’’ “Some brands of, flour have been held in,..the - emergencystores from seven to 11 months, ap'd unless.a more satisfactory system is_ adopted the members of this association will in future -accept only .flour supplied in direct shipment from the mills. The association urges that the final date of manufacture be shown ou each sack of flour.’’
