HEAVILY BOMBED
TARGETS IN THE RUHR R.A.F. NIGHT ATTACK (11.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 9. Royal Air Force Bomber Command Manes last night heavily attacked ibjcctives in the Ruhr, states an Air Ministry communique. The weather over Germany was bad, and the results were difficult to observe. Mines were also laid in enemy waters. Twenty-one bombers were missing. Icing and clouds which reached n height of 20,000 ft. and more covered most of the route when heavy and medium bombers heavily attacked the Ruhr last night. The raiding force dropped a great 'lumber of 40001 b. bombs as well as a heavy load of incendiary bombs. A considerable glow, even through the very thick clouds, could be seen from the fires on the ground.
