17 BUILT IN DOMINION HUGE AUCKLAND BLOCKS (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH. Feb. 4. Interesting details of several ot the 17 military hospitals built to the order of the Government for our own and the United States forces through the Defence Construction Council, were given by the Prime Minister, the Rt. I-lon. P. Fraser, yesterday. These hospitals lack nothing in comfort and equipment, he said. Its cost was £066,470. The Hobson Park military hospital at Auckland, which is in use by tne United States military forces, introduced steel pre-fabrication to New Zealand. This was added to substantially by wards designed in New Zealand and this institution has now a floor area as great as Cornwell Pai k Hospital and has beds tor u ™ Pf> ients. It comprises 74 separate buildings and is staffed by W end 663 ratings. The cost of additions was £350.000. •
