LOWER GRADE MEN
FORMATION OF POOLS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, this day. Although representations had been made to the military authorities nothing had been done in connection with the formation of a pool of lower grade men who could be released from camp to replace in industry higher grade men called for service, said’ Mr R. C. Clark, chairman of the Auckland District Council of Primary Production, at the meeting of the council to-day. The council carried a motion regretting the delay in establishing pools of second and third grade men. Mr H. O. Mellsop said that a pool of 25 men in each district should suffice.
