LIGHTS ON XMAS TREES
(9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 4 The army ordered that lights on outdoor Christmas trees must be extinguished during dim-out hours during the holiday season. The Mayor, Mr. F. La Guardia, branded the order'as “silly,” but said that New York would comply.
