PLIGHT OF JAPANESE HINT FROM BERLIN (10.30 a.m.) STOCKHOLM, Oct 5 A hint taat Japan is feeling the pinch of merchant shipping losses i: contained in a dispatch from Berlin. “Owing to a temporary shortage o tonnage in Japan’s newly-acquired terrritories, it is necessary for Sumatra, Malaya, Borneo and other areas be largely self-sufficient.”
