Hurdler Wounded

Bombadier F. A. Finlnyson, of Auckland, who has been reported wounded,. has an excellent record ns a hurdler. He won the New Zealand championships for. 220yds. and 440yds. hurdles in 1935 and. 1936, and the 220yds. in 1937. He held the Dominion records for both' distances of '2si|Bec. and 55j!see., until they were lowered by P. F. Sharplcy, of Hawke's Bay, and A. T. Anderson, of Canterbury, respectively. He won the Auckland championships for the sum? distances on several occasions and he also succeeded in the 120yds. event in 1934 and the broad jump in 1938.
