WAIROA PERSONALS

Mr. J. O’Grady has been appointed by the Wairoa County Council to fill the vacancy on the Wairoa Electric-Power Board caused by the resignation of Mr. H. M. B. deLautour. Recently Miss Betty Signall, who is to be married shortly, was the guest of honour at a “kitchen” afternoon at which the hostesses were Mesdames Coleman and Welsh, and at which Miss Signall received a number of extremely useful gifts. She was also the guest at a picture party given by Misses Nancy Nolan and D. Sainsbury.
