NONE FOR CIVILIANS LIMIT ON CONSUMPTION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. In reply to a question, the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, stated that apart from the stocks of potatoes held by the retailers throughout the Dominion, no further release of potatoes could be made for civilian use in the meantime. The Minister said he realised that the stocks held by the retail trade were very limited, but the position demanded this curtailment of consumption be instituted until further supplies became available.
