MALTA ATTACKED
RAIDERS INTERCEPTED (2 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 11. Enemy bombers attacked Maiia on Monday night. Less than half of them reached their objective. There was some damage to property and one person was injured. This morning fighters attempted a sweep over the island, but were intercepted by Spitfires. In the afternoon, reconnaissance planes appeared over the island.
