Miss S. Doig has left on a fortnight's holiday for Wftiroa and Napier, where she will visit her sister, Mrs. A. Wallace,—-Mis. F. Baird, Wniroa, who- has been visiting Mrs. I. Doig, Ongaruru, has left for her home—Mr. and Mrs. and Miss Rainbow were week-end visitors to Gisborne. Miss RTodd was the guest of Mrs. J. B. Stafford, Iranui road, Gisborne, for the week-end.— Mrs I. Doig is visiting Gisborne for a few days.—Miss Joan Hensley, Christchurch, who was a recent visitor to Tokomaru Bay, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Jackson. Private Geoff. Tankard has been spending a short furlough in Tokomaru Bay, where he was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. R. Jackson and where he renewed many sehoolday friendships.— Mr. and Mrs. Calder and two small children, of Wairoa, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Calder.—Miss H. Haig, Ruatoria, visited Tokomaru Bay last weekLr> Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moess leave to-day for the Marton district, where Mr. Moess has received a position as postmaster. Mr. and Mrs. Moess have lived several years in Tokomaru Bay and will be greatly missed. Besides being a most obliging and efficient postal official, Mr. Moess has taken a live interest in the tennis club, having been secretary for the past two seasons. _ On Friday night in the Maori dming hall the second of a series of three card evenings was held. Honours went to Mesdames Kopua, Collier, Samuel? and Chambers.
