MEN’S HOCKEY REPS.
TEAM TO VISIT NAPIER Owing to some- players being unable to travel, alterations have been made in the Poverty Bay men’s hockey representative team to play Napier next Saturday. The team comprises the following players:—A. Binder, A, Wilson, R. Hickman, T. Smiler. M. Edwards, A. Taylor, L. Norman, J. Arnold, L. Roderick, J. Greig and L. Murray; reserves, B. Hingstoa and J. Kay. Players are to leave the Duco odico at 8.30 a.m. on Friday. Only two men’s games will be played in Gisborne on Saturday, four of the teams being combined. The draw is as follows: — Caledonian and Foresters v. High School, No. 1 ground, 2 p.m.; Air Force and Air Training Corps v. Wailuhi, No. 1, 3 p.m. One women’s game. Y.M.R. v. ICia Ton, will be played on No. 2 ground at 2 p.m. The referees for Saturday will be Messrs, lu'eLaughlan, W. Bowden, G. Tupara, G. Slade, G. W. Langhorne and G. Cassin. The following are the points gained by the teani3 in both the men and women’s competitions to date:— Men.—High School, played 13, won 9, lost 1, drawn 3, Total points 21 ; Caledonian, 13. 8, 3, 2. 18; Waituhi. 10 (3), 4, 3. 3. 11 X 3 (14); Air Force, .10 (3), 5,4, 1, 11 :: 3 (14); Foresters, 13, 4. 8,1, 9; A.T.C., 13, 1, 12. —, 2.
Women.—Waituhi, played 12, won 10, lost 0, drawn 2, Total points 22: Kin Ton A, 12, s’, 3,4, 14; Y.M.P., 12, 3, fi, 3,9; ICia Toa B, 12, 1, 10. 1, 3.
