NEWEST NAZI FIGHTER TOP SPEED OF 375 M.P.H. (British Official Wireless.) (10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, Aug. 10. Full information regarding Germany’s newest fighter, the Focke-Wulf 190, is now available to the Royal Air Force, a machine recently captured having been tested. The top speed is 375 miles an hour at 18,000 ft., and has a cruising speed of 325 miles per hour at 45,000 ft. The best climbing performance is 3280 ft. a minute at 17,500 ft, and 3050 ft. at 4000 ft. The armament consists of four 20 m.m. cannon, the two inner * ones being synchronised to shoot through the airscrews and two 7.92 m. machineguns. The wingspread is 34ft. Sins., the length 29ft. 4ins., and the loaded weight 8580 pounds. The fact that so many of its secrets are now known make it easier to meet in battle.
