U.S. NAVY YARD LABOUR CONFERENCES PLANNED (1 30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 8. The United States Navy Department, one of the largest employers in the country, has announced a new labour relations policy under which 250 labour representatives from all the navy yards and shore establishments will meet periodically in Washington with the Secretary of the Navy, Colonel F. Knox and Admiral J. King, Commander-in-chief, to discuss grievances and work out methods of cooperation. The first meeting will be held on October 1. Meetings will be held every four months for the duration of the war.
