U.S. NAVAL CASUALTIES II NURSES MISSING (10 am.) WASHINGTON, July 14. The Navy Department has published the seventh casualty list containing the names of 49 dead, seven wounded and 212 missing, covering the period from June 18 to 30, making the total of approximately 12,000 navy casualties since Pearl Harbour. Eleven nurses serving in the Manila Bay area prior to the Japanese conquest are listed as missing, although they may have been taken prisoner. Most of the casualties resulted from direct action against the enemy. Some were lost in accidents at sea or the air during active duty. The Navy Department pointed out that some of the missing men were possibly rescued at.sea and landed at isolated spots from which they are unable to communicate with the navy. v
