Gaoled for Theft
Six months imprisonment with hard labour was the sentence imposed by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court in Wellington upon Phyllis Adele Cripps-Coilans. aged 44, a married woman, who pleaded guilty to eight charges of stealing 32 postal packets while she was employed by the Post Office as a letter-carrier. The police said' this was not her first appearance before a court.
