UNITED NATIONS OPINION OF CHINESE NO VICTORY FOR JAPAN (By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright.) (2.40 p.m.) CHUNGKING, June 30. The Chinese Government spokesman said the United Nations undoubtedly had enough material and human resources to offset the Axis attempt to teach a military decision in the next three months. He said that China is still first on Japan’s conquest priority list, but China is confident the enemy will fail to reach a decision. Japan may win local successes, but final victory will never be within - Japans grasp. According to the military spokesman 50,000 Japanese trocpstromthc Philippines are concentrated on Formosa He said the Chinese force still Sol 50 miles of the Cheldang-Kiangsi-Gaclwayi railway. It is reported that bitter fighting is ■mine on on the western slopes of the Taiheng mountains ill southern Shansi. The Tokio official radio declared that captured sections of the Che kiang-Kiangsi railway have been repaired and now are serving as an important supply route for the Japanese. The radio added that three Chinese armies are retreating .southward from the Chekiang-Kiangsi railway after the Japanese had attacked in a tor rential rainstorm.
