GRANT INADEQUATE
CLOTHING FOR WAV.S.A. (P.R.) WELLINGTON, this day. A complaint that £lO a year clothing maintenance allowance for members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary ,on active service in the Middle East was inadequate was made by Mr. F. W. Doidge (Nat., Tauranga), in the House of Representatives last night, when he gave notice of a question on the subject to Die Minister of Defence. Mr. Doidge’s question was whether the Minister was aware that these girls were suffering great hardships and disabilities as a result of the paucity and unsuitability of the equipment issued to them. He asked the Minister to have an immediate inquiry made witli a view to improving the position. —l—l
