THE HAURAKI SEAT

Five nominations have been recieved for the National Party candidate for the Hauraki seat, rendered vacant by the death on active service of Lieu-tenant-Colonel J. M. Allen, M.P. The names are:—Messrs. A. S. Sutherland, farmer, of Ngaruawahia; H. S. E. Dent, storeeeper, of Ngatea; C. W. Parfitt, farmer, of Pipiroa; E. Palliser, farmer, of Waihou; and R. L. Milne, farmer, of Te Kauwhata. The selection ballot to choose the candidate will be held in Hamilton on January 20.
