Generally acclaimed as the best fullback in Buller Rugby representative teams in the past half century, Mr. Sidney James “Neighbours, aged 61, brick and drainage pipe manufacturer, of Waimangaroa, was killed at Granity, West Coast, when he was getting off a late train while it was in motion. Mr. Neighbours fell between two carriages. Mr. Neighbours was very musical and won competitions at coast and national contests.
