LABOUR CAMPAIGN
MR. CULLEN ASSISTS The Labour candidate for the Bay of Plenty seat in the current byelection campaign, Mr. Mills, had the assistance yesterday and today of the member for Hawke’s Bay. Mr'. E. L. Cullen, as well as that of Mr. D. W. Coleman, M.P. for Gisborne. Messrs. Cullen and Coleman visited Waimata yesterday afternoon, and addressed a gathering of electors ;here, emphasising the assistance which the Labour Government had given to the farming community, and the “all-in” character of the wJ.r effort sponsored by the Government and its party. Last evening they attended a meeting in Makauri, speaking on similar lines, and discussing the benefit to the various categories of producers of the guaranteed-price policy in relation to primary products. To-day Messrs. Cullen and, Coleman visited Otoko, Jo meet settlers of the lower hill-country area, and ibis evening they have an appointment with electors of the Whangara area.
