DECISIVE DEFEAT
N.Z. FLYERS AT RUGBY ROSSLYN PARK'S WIN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Dec. 1, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 30. Rosslyn Park decisively beat the New Zealanders at Richmond Park by 30 points, six converted tries, to three, before a big crowd. The Press Association says that the New Zealanders’ poor display was a surprise, considering the reputation of most of their players. The Rosslyn Park forwards got the ball four out of five times from the set scrums and also tackled well in the loose and dominated the game. Sergeant Sutherland scored New Zealand’s try.
The New Zealand team was as follows: Pilot-Officers J. F. G. Kissel, Wellington ; E. Grant, Gisborne; A. J. Peterson and E. C. Cox, Hawke’s I3ay; W. L. Knight, Auckland; Sergeants A. G. Sutherland, Southland; W. J. Fulton, Wellington ; J. H. Watera, Taranaki; H. Tomoana, Hawke’s Bay; G. Sampson, Wellington; P. L. McGloy, Canterbury; E. D. Dell, Tauranga; C. P. Goulding, Canterbury: Leading-Aircraftmen T. H. Blomfield, Auckland.
