NAZI SHIPS BOMBED
TANKER SET ON FIRE RAIDERS OVER BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 11.30 a.m. RUGBY. Nov. 30. An Air Ministry communique states: “Hudsons of the Coastal Command on patrol attacked enemy supply ships off the Norwegian coasi on Friday. A small tanker whici was hit with bombs from a low-level burst into flames and sank very quickly. All the other vessels were bombed, but bad weather made it impossible to observe the results. Other Hudsons attacked enemy shipping off the Dutch coast. None of our aircraft are missing.”
Enemy aircraft dropped bombs at scattered points in the west anc. south-west of England and south Wales on Friday night. Some damaw was done at one point. The casualties were slight, but they includet some persons killed. One enemy aircraft was destroyed during the night.
A Northern Ireland communique states: “There was some slight enemy activity over Northern Ireland on Saturday morning. No reports of casualties or damage have been received.”
