ONE DAY’S HOLIDAY
CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR
PLEA TO ARMS WORKERS (Reed. Dec. 1, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 30. The Government has appealed to war workers to take only one day’s holiday, either on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day because of the urgent need of maintaining production. The Government urged other establishments and services to observe the customary arrangements except to meet the needs of those continuing work.
