Mr. E. T. Stanley. Auckland district grand master of the Manchester Unity Oddfellows, accompanied by the deputy district grand master, Mr. F. W. Newton, arrived yesterday to meet members of the Gisborne lodge this evening. On their way they stayed in Whakatane, where they met members of the Bay of Plenty lodges. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bright,' Gisborne, have received news of the success of two of their sons gaining first appointments to commissioned ranks overseas. Second-Lieutenant T. N. Bright is with the infantry serving in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in the Middle East, and Pilot-Officer E. W. Bright has been commissioned in Canada, according to private advice. •
