TENNIS SUSPENSION
KOVACS TALKS OF MONEY PLAN AS PROFESSIONAL (Reed. Nov. 27, 2 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 26. The United States Lawn Tennis Association has suspended Frank Kovacs. The action, was taken by the amateur rules committee, but the charges were not made public. Kovacs, in an interview, said: “Did I take money? My > answer is: Who hasn’t? Amateur tennis stinks. There is no money in it any more.” Kovacs disclosed that he and R. L. Riggs have agreed to turn professional and "team up with J. D. Budge and Fred Perry for a natioh-wide tour. * Kovacs and Riggs have signed contracts with Perry and Budge for a series of 80 professional matches, beginning at Madison Square Garden on December 26. The players will receive a percentage of the gates.
