Christmas Shopping Rush
Business executives in Wellington are not having iv happy time in securing suitable temporary employees to help them over the Christmas shopping rush,. i>t was stated in response to inquiries by a reporter. Plenty of juvenile labour would be available when the schools closed for the summer vacation, but it was difficult to obtain the services of experienced senior hands, who were most wanted in the period from now until Christmas. There was evidence already, they said, of heavier week-end shopping, and in a week or two a marked stimulus in trade would be apparent.
