Silk Stocking Distribution
Advice that proposals are under consideration for a more equitable distribution of women’s stockings has been revived by the Auckland Lady Hairdressers’ Assistants' Union from the Minister of Customs, the Hon. W. Nash. Some weeks ago assistants in hairdressing salons in Auckland wrote to the Minister complaining that they were at a serious disadvantage as stockings were offered for sale only at times when they! were at Work.
