AXIS CONVOY MEDITERRANEAN AREA ESCORT MAKES ESCAPE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Presß Asan.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.50 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 25. An Admiralty communique states: — “Our surface patrols in the central Mediterranean yesterday sank an enemy south-bound convoy consisting of two supply ships of medium tonnage. “The convoy was escorted by destroyers which succeeded in making good their escape. Our forces sustained no damage or casualties.”
