It is announced that Acting-Flight Lieutenant the Hon. B. S. B. Plunket was killed on active service at Pert Sudan. He was 38 years of age.
He was the second son of the tiftn Lord Plunket, a former GovernorGeneral of New Zealand, and a brother of the sixth Lord who was killed in an air crash in California in February 1938. , He was granted a o'immi‘Hrm in the Royal Air Force soon after the outbreak of war. Four years ago the woman who nursed him during an illness when he was a boy in New Zealand left him £IB,OOO.
