BRITISH WAR RELIEF LADY GALWAY GUILD (Per Pre«s Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. It was reported at a meeting of the headquarters executive of the New Zealand Lady Galway Patriotic Guild yesterday that 534 cases of clothing had been, shipped since the previous meeting. Numerous letters of thanks were received from the women’s volunteer services in Great Britain. A typical one says that each consignment is more welcome than the last, “because it shows us, who are so far away from you, once again the unity of spirit. We are always tremendously grateful to you for providing us with such generous means of extending our war relief work with conditions as they are to-day.” The letter says that there is a vast, ever-growing number of people all over Britain who are filled with gratitude for the help being sent.
