FREE FRENCH FORCES U.S. PROHIBITS EXPORTS VICHY AREAS AND SPAIN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Nov. 26, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK. Nov. 25. The Free French delegation has made public a letter from President Roosevelt authorising United States lease-or-lend aid to the Free French Forces by the retransfer of materials through Britain or the Allies. President Roosevelt in his letter added: M hereby find that the defence of any French territory under the control of French volunteer forces is vital to the defence of the United States.” The Office of Export Control announced that all export licenses to Algeria, French Morocco and Tunisia have been revoked and also all licenses for the exportation o petroleum products to Spain, its possessions and Tangier. The office did not explain the order but it is believed to be part of a general policy of keeping American products from falling into the hands of the German Army.
