OBITUARY
The death occurred in Auckland on Sunday of Mr. Robert Algoe. a well-known New Zealand journalist, who for the past 11) years had been racing editor of the Auckland Star. Mr. Algoe was born in Christchurch 515 years ago. and as a boy entered the service of the Christchurch Press. ' He became a reporter, and specially devoted himself to sporting interests. For a period he was on the stall’ of the Gisborne Times.
