ARMOUR FOR TROOPS
• NEW BRITISH TYPE (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.10 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 24. The British War Office is experimenting with a new type of body armour for troops. Weighing 21b, the .armour is proof against sub-machine-guns and gives protection against bomb splinters and glancing bullets from machine-guns and rifles. Tests are being made to determine whether the armour slows down the soldier or reduces his resistance.
