MILITARY DEFAULTERS
MEN FROM WAIOURU CAMP Nine young men from the Waiouru military camp appeared before Mr. W. H. Freeman, SJVL, in Hamilton charged with failing to obey military orders either to submit to medical examination, inoculation or to receive uniforms. All were ordered to be detained in a defaulters’ camp. The defendants were Francis Patterson Bell, Mervyn Mills Browne, Gordon Craig, Donald Edward Rogers, Howard William Shoulder, James Wilfred Warburton, Robert George Durrant, Edward Charles Leslie Tapp and Redfern Harold Wilson.
