BRITAIN AND ALLIES INCREASING SCALE (Reed. Nov. 25, 9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 24. Mr. E. R. Stettinius, head of the industrial materials division of the Office of Production Management, has announced that contracts had been let for more than 75 per cent of the £1,750,000,000 lease-or-lend appropriation, and indicated that £250,000,000 worth of supplies had already been shipped to Britain aixd the Allies. He said that since the beginning of the war the total exports to Britain amounted to £1,312,500,000, most of which was financed by the British with their own dollars. Illustrating the steady increase in lease-or-lend aid, he said that the amounts were: March, £4,500,000; June, £21,250,000; September, £51,750,-' 000;. and October was the largest month during the war.
